NEXT SUNDAY INSTEAD OF TODAY- Church members will be provided an updated list of all who are eligible and interested in serving as a Deacon. Each voting Church Member will then select 2 nominees from this list.

This year we will be electing two Deacons. Much of the process will remain the same, though there have been some changes. Included below are the qualifications required of a Deacon both in Scripture and in the Constitution of Atlantic Baptist Church. The proposed time table is as follows:

1. There was a list of all eligible men in the bulletin on January 11, 2026.

2. By January 25, anyone on the list who would like to be considered for Deacon nomination should check the box by his name and place the sheet in the offering plate.

3. On February 1, church members will be provided an updated list with all who are eligible and interested in serving as a Deacon. Each voting church member will then select 2 nominees from the list.

4. On February 15, the church will be presented with the names of the four candidates who received the most votes

5. On February 22, each voting church member will vote for 2 Deacons on the list of 4 candidates.

This time table is subject to change if there are ties and in case of bad weather.

The collection of books formerly housed upstairs in the Educational Building is now on a table beside the front doors ( in the Educational Building). Please adopt some of these books for your home library.
