Walk for Life- Make a difference by being a captain in the annual Walk for Life on Saturday, May 2, 2026, beginning at 8:30 on Chincoteague. We are aiming for 30 captains this year and a total of 120 walkers! Let Nicole Thomas know if ou plan to walk by completing the insert in today's bulletin and giving it to her or putting it in the offering plate. Last Year ABC won trophies for the most walkers and for the most money raised...over $13,000. Let's do it again!

This year we will be electing two Deacons. Much of the process will remain the same, though there have been some changes. Included below are the qualifications required of a Deacon both in Scripture and in the Constitution of Atlantic Baptist Church. The proposed time table is as follows:

TODAY Church members will be provided an updated list of all who are eligible and interested in serving as Deacons. Each voting Church Member will then select 2 nominees from this list. This will be done just prior to the Business Meeting.

On February 22, The Church will be presented with the names of the 4 candidates who received the most votes.

On March 1st, each Church member votes for 2 Deacons from the list of 4/

All this is subject to change in case of more inclement weather or if there is a tie.
